The micro-miniatures are made on high-quality canvas on a 4 cm deep stretchers. The surface of the canvas is painted with heavy body acrylics of deep black color. The details are made of multi-coloured acrylics. The textured surface is made with extended acrylic peaks, which make the small work more voluminous, and gives the 3D effect to it.
About the series: In the “Laboratory Work” series I reflect on life forms. I modeled the creation of a living organism on canvas, as if it were appearing under a microscope when we look at a particular sample during laboratory work on glass. It was a fairly spontaneous and partly conscious creation in my characteristic moustache technique, but in this case the moustache was made of acrylic with strokes of paint using a brush. In this series, I act as a Creator and as a "film developer". Before us is a black canvas - the Universe before the Big Bang and then the act of creation occurs and life appears on the canvas. All 9 works were created simultaneously.
